Hey everyone. I finally got to see the new plastic kettlebells. The quality of the materials and construction is very good. The design/shape of the larger ones within the set is not quite what I would've done.

I think the 18kg & 20kg handles are unmanageably thick. The 2-16kg ones are OK.

Because I don't like 'em, you get to score a bargain. The set consists of a 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20kg. Originally they were going to sell for R2475 (R22.50/kg). However, I have decided that the price will be changed. You pay for the 2-16kg, and get the 18kg & 20kg for free. Price for a complete set is R1650, so it works out at R15/kg.

[Saturday 28 November 2009] YEAH BABY!!! 231 (I gotta get the timing of that last rep a bit better 'cos I keep getting it as the buzzer goes Undecided - then again...maybe working a bit faster throughout will be a better plan).
I found out that the rep gets counted at the top, so all is good.

[Sunday 8 November 2009] A rather feeble attempt. I quit about 3mins in with back spasms.Yell
[Saturday 31 October 2009] Had another crack at it - this time got 228 (it might have been 229 'cos the buzzer went halfway thru the last rep so I dunno if it would've been counted). It ain't what I was aiming for, but it's progress, so I'll keep at it. Last time I started out too fast...this time I started out too slow - maybe next time I'll get it right. If not, there's always the next next time.
[Sunday 25 October 2009] Had a crack at the SSST. I was aiming at a decent score (say 240+) but only managed a rather dismal 223. Guess I will have to work on it some more. Cool
